I’m a veteran who’s lived in nine states and two foreign countries, which is a roundabout way of saying I’ve watched America from the inside and from a long way off, and I came home more curious than certain. I’m an agnostic who happens to find the teachings of Jesus some of the most demanding, clear-eyed instructions anyone ever wrote down. And more than anything, I like to ask questions - what would a patriot do, what would a Christian do, and the one nobody in power wants you asking: who actually benefits?
